Translation Redirect Addon

This add-on is very useful if your site language is English (or Spanish or German or French or Portuguese or Italian) and a good number of visitors are comfortable with another language. As for example you can set 'English to Spanish' as the preferred translation option (or vice-versa). Translation is performed using 'Altavista Babelfish'. This add-on redirects the chosen resource (link) to BabelFish with with a preset Taget Language. Currently supported languages are:

English to Spanish,
English to French,
English to German,
English to Italian,
English to Portuguese,
Spanish to English,
French to English,
German to English,
Italian to English
and
Portuguese to English.

If installed, this add-on will create an additional [ Translate ] link next to each result.

You can change the text 'Translate' to anything you want. See below for working examples.

This add-on can make a either a simple redirection to Babelfish with a preset Target Language OR in combination with 'Framed Redirection' add-on can make a framed redirection ('Framed Redirection' add-on required). However, you can always disable Framing feature on this add-on. All examples are LIVE and active. Feel free to try them. We have set the default to English-to-Spanish, you can set any other Target Language.
