Frequently Asked Questions

Q1. Who pays me for book sales from my BookShop?

You get paid from Amazon the same way as now. All books are assigned with your own Amazon associate ID and individually linked to qualify you for HIGHER commission for all sales.

Q2. Can I make the design of my BookShop look like my current site?

Yes. As soon as you sign-up (Paid or Free) your BestSeller BookShop is ready to run. Initially it is configured to a default design, and ready to accept visitors from your site. However, you can assign a sample design of your own and change the HTML attributes of ALL system generated elements to match your requirements. The customization process is easy and the design, layout, images, links are ALL yours. There is NO exclusive sign of us as the service provider.

Q3. I am an Amazon affiliate and have put links to them. How your BookShop differs?

The basic idea is no different. Usual home-page linking normally entitles you to a 5% commission, BUT with a BestSeller BookShop you always qualify for a HIGHER commission (usually 15%) because linking are made to specific titles/items.
There are some other advantages too. Since, you are an affiliate you may well have noticed that there aren't many buyers who go to Amazon using a link and make a purchase straight-away. If the visitors buy the same book at a later time, you will not be entitled to any commission.
Now, clicking on that link means the visitors simply goes away from you site on the other hand if the visitor (after viewing all the details, reviews, comments on that book) does not buy it during the same session, you lose the commission.
With a BestSeller-BookShop the visitor remains in your site while he/she reads all the details, reviews, reader-comments, cover-picture etc. If the visitor finally decides to purchase an item, he/she is sent to Amazon where the transaction should take place. Otherwise, your visitors remain in your site to browse further; which means your Ad-Banners get more exposures. In either case you would probably gain much much more then before.

Q4. What is direct-linking to a category?

Our BookShop allows you to add a large number of categories (books on a specific topic or content type) to your Main BookShop. For design or clarity, you may not always want ALL the categories to appear on BookShop pages all the time. In such cases, you can set a limited number of book categories on your main bookshop, BUT link to any or ALL other categories from anywhere within your web-site.
Direct-Linking to a Category means you can send a visitor to specific Category straight-away using usual HTML linking. Direct-Linking can be made from anywhere as many links you want. There is no limitation.
As for example: if you have a section on 'Music', you can put a direct-link to your Music-BookShop (even if you did not choose to include it to your main bookshop).

See Examples (Example 3) for a Real life implementation of Direct Linking and other Advanced features.
