Search-Box Design (Page-1)

Search-Box (as we call it) is the HTML form you put on your site, where a visitor can type Search Query (Keywords) to make a search. You can put a 'Search-Box' on anywhere on your website (including any Member, Affiliate sites). Each Search-Box can be different in design and embedded options.

How to create a 'Search-Box'

A search-box is mothing but an ordinary HTML Form. There are no unusual restrictions and you are free to choose any design style as long as you submit it to your 'Search Engine' correctly. Choose or re-design the layout that suits your site, use/change colors, backgrounds, images. (if you don't like standard form-buttons) You can include as many features you want. In the next page we have put some examples with HTML code ready to create a 'Search-Box' on your site. However, you may modify them or design a new one yourself.

Although you are free to choose any design style or use your own design; you MUST make sure that your search box html (form) includes at least the following parameters:

  • Free VSE Search-Box
  • You can put a Search-Box to 'CurryGuide' search if you want to give your visitors option to search CurryGuide from your site. Simply copy and paste the following HTML code to your web-page. You can customize the HTML FORM code or put additional HTML around it to suit your design requirements.

Just make sure you replace the VSEACCOUNTNAME string with your own Free VSE Accountname (without any empty spaces) chosen when signing up.

When added it will create a simple search-box like this on your web page. You can add add other HTML elements or customize it if necessary. Read on if you want to add more option in your search box or want to find out more.

  • Paid VSE Search-Box
  • You can use a search form as simple as the one shown below or one with more options.

Just make sure you replace the VSEACCOUNTNAME string with your own Paid VSE Accountname (without any empty spaces) chosen when placing the order (or provided by Sales).

When added it will create a simple search-box like this on your web page. You can add add other HTML elements or customize it if necessary. Read on if you want to add more option in your search box or want to find out more.

Important: You must Replace the VSEACCOUNTNAME value with your own VSE AccountName (without any spaces)

You can use many other Form Inputs to add/control the functioinalities of your VSE. For full details of these Form Inputs please see the External Parameters (in the Features Section).

On the next page we have put some Search-Box examples.
